Welcome back, Holy Family Catholic School Families!

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I hope that you have enjoyed a restful and relaxing summer! As I begin my third year at Holy Family Catholic School, I am grateful for the blessing of this community of staff, students, and families in my life, and am eager to see you all on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 5th. Throughout the summer, I’ve spoken with many of you, and we have had wonderful discussions about how staff and families can work together to ensure that our students are receiving a strong, faith-filled, quality education that both supports and empowers our children as they strive to reach their full potential as young men and women of promise, intelligence, and virtue. We have spent the summer working hard to strengthen and enrich our academic program, fortify our identity as the only diocesan Catholic school in North Idaho, and put systems in place that will facilitate teacher/parent communication in every classroom. We are proud and excited to launch the 2023/2024 school year with our incredibly talented and dedicated teaching staff and your ongoing support and partnership!

As we begin this school year, let us reflect on the mission of Holy Family Catholic School:

The mission of our Roman Catholic school is to promote excellence in education – both spiritually, academically, and physically – for the whole person, thereby nourishing the gifts uniquely given to each by God.

I want to thank our team of parents and staff volunteers who made our 3rd Annual HFCS Golf Classic on August 11 a huge success! It’s the dedication of our fantastic community that continues to make Holy Family Catholic School a center of faith and excellence. Your selfless gifts of time and talents help to transform this school continually.

We have a marvelous staff of talented teachers leading the way this year. Please join me in welcoming our new team members and welcoming back our veteran teachers.

We have a wonderfully dedicated crew this year. We wish those who are no longer with us at HFCS the best as they pursue their careers in other avenues near and far.

Below please find some important notes and reminders about the start of the school year.

Please join me in prayer for a blessed school year …

Blessed are you, Lord God, Creator of body and mind and heart; you have sent the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge to guide your people in all their ways.

At the beginning of this new school year we implore Your mercy: bless the students, teachers, and staff of our Catholic school so that together we may grow in faith, hope, and love as we learn from You and each other how to follow your Son, Jesus.

Expand the horizons of our minds, that we may grow in wisdom, understanding, and knowledge; deepen our commitment to seek the truth of your ways; and enliven our faith to reach out to those in need.

Glory and praise to you, Lord God, in the Church and in Christ Jesus, forever and ever. Amen.

As the school year draws closer, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions that you have.
