Loving and merciful God, you have commissioned your angels to guide and protect us. Command them to be with us throughout the summer, from our leaving school until our return; keep us safe from all injury, accident or malice and sin. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen
Dear HFCS Families & Friends,
As the school year comes to a close, our minds and hearts are filled to the brim. It’s been a great year and Holy Family Catholic School is a great school! Together we’ve learned much and shared experiences that will remain with us in the years to come. The strength of our community and wholehearted passion to make our school a wonderful place of learning for our children primarily but for all of us makes Holy Family Catholic School truly a special place.
We will celebrate mass together as a community on Friday this week, June 7, 2024 – instead of Wednesday this week. Additionally, mass will be at 10 am. In this way we hope that many families will join us at our final mass for the school year before our early release at 11:25 am.
Special thanks to all of you who have contributed in ways small, large and unimaginable! Organizing at events, working at these events, showing up to support your children, serving on committees, sharing your talents, supporting our work in countless ways and providing the resources to do what we dream and know what is good for children are just some examples of how you have helped us. Thanks for getting your kids to school on time each day, for kind notes of encouragement that mean so much, for making sure homework gets done…and turned in. The most important way you have helped us is your continued prayer for Holy Family Catholic School. For these and a million other things, we are truly grateful.
To those of you who are leaving us for new places and adventures, we wish you all the best. Congratulations to our very capable 8th graders who are onto a new stage in their academic career!
Additionally, through the summer we will see a fabulous transformation of our existing small chapel to a finished Adoration Chapel. Our gym floor is being refinished and the walls repaired and painted. We are hoping to recruit some parents to volunteer to help us repaint the inner hallways this summer as well. If you are interested in getting volunteer hours taken care of early please reach out to the office and let us know.
Just so you can plan ahead…the first day of school begins on September 4, 2024. Watch your email throughout the summer for updates and special events.
Please don’t forget to check the Lost and Found for items your child may have misplaced throughout the year. Items left after Friday will be donated.
Have a blessed summer enjoying family and friends. See you at Mass.
Pax et bonum,
Sue Styren, M.Ed.
Principal
PS – We are in dire need of a Girls Volleyball coach for the fall. If you are interested please reach out to the school office.
