Elizabeth McAllister

Mrs. Elizabeth McAllister

3rd Grade Teacher

Biography

My name is Liz McAllister, and I feel truly blessed to serve as the 3rd grade teacher at Holy Family Catholic School. My family and I moved to Coeur d’Alene about four years ago, and we have loved making this beautiful community our home. This year marks my fifth year teaching 3rd grade at HFCS.

I was born and raised Catholic in a large family with four brothers and four sisters. From an early age, my parents instilled in us a deep love for God and our faith, which I now strive to pass on to my own children and my students.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Speech Communication from Western Washington University. I began my teaching career in the Mukilteo School District, where I spent ten years teaching and serving as a Literacy Coach, supporting teachers in best literacy practices. After taking a few years off to raise my children, I returned to the classroom in Catholic schools in Western Washington, teaching reading, writing, and religion to 6th and 7th graders. I then spent five years teaching 2nd grade at St. Mark School in Shoreline, WA. It was a joy and privilege to prepare students to receive the Sacraments, and I look forward to sharing with my students this year the same love for the Eucharist and the gift of God’s infinite mercy.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy relaxing by the pool, reading a good book, chatting with my sisters, and spending quality time with my husband and our two girls.
