My name is Liz McAllister, and I feel so blessed to be the new 3rd-grade teacher at Holy Family Catholic School. I am excited to join this amazing community. My husband (my high school sweetheart), our four daughters, and I recently moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We are excited to be in such a beautiful part of our country!
I was born and raised a Catholic. I came from a large family with four brothers and four sisters. My parents instilled in all of us a great love for God and our Catholic faith. I hope to do the same for my own children. Our youngest daughter will attend HFCS this year as a 6th-grade student. I am excited to take on the roles of both teacher and parent.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Speech Communication from Western Washington University. I taught in the Mukilteo School District for ten years. While there, I became a Literacy Coach and helped coach teachers around best literacy practices in their classrooms. I took a few years off of teaching to be a mom, and when I returned, I taught at Catholic Schools in Western Washington, where I taught reading, writing, and religion to 6th and 7th graders. I spent the last five years teaching 2nd grade at St. Mark School in Shoreline, WA. I was blessed to be able to teach students the Sacraments, and I hope to bring that love of the Eucharist and the love of God’s infinite mercy to my students this year.
When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing in our pool, reading a good book, and spending quality time with my girls and husband.
