“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

Dear HFCS Families & Friends,

As we journey through this season of renewal and growth, I am filled with immense gratitude for the many blessings our school community continues to receive through your steadfast support and generous hearts.

Our Annual Gala last Friday was a beautiful testament to our community’s spirit of togetherness and commitment to our school’s mission. While final numbers are still being calculated, preliminary figures indicate tremendous success. We extend our deepest thanks to all volunteers who dedicated their time and talents, and to every family who attended or contributed in any way. Your presence and participation truly embodied our call to be stewards of God’s gifts.

The transition from April to May brings with it a flurry of activity as we celebrate God’s creation and those who nurture it. We are especially grateful to Dr. Gussenhoven for organizing meaningful Earth Day and Arbor Day celebrations. Through her devoted efforts, our students received 300 trees, along with educational materials to share with their families—a beautiful reminder of our responsibility to care for our common home as Pope Francis called us to do. The poster contest was a wonderful opportunity for our students to reflect on the beauty of God’s creation, and we look forward to making this an annual tradition. Special thanks to Dr. Gussenhoven for recognizing our students’ creativity during Morning Opening.

This week, our teachers and staff were welcomed with a beautiful surprise—chalk artwork and a Red Carpet at the school entry in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week. The faculty room transformed into a haven of treats, both healthy and indulgent, providing sustenance throughout their busy days. Your thoughtful gestures mirror Christ’s servant leadership and remind our educators of the value we place on their ministry of education. We are truly blessed by your generosity.

Looking ahead with joyful anticipation, we prepare to welcome our Grandparents and Grandfriends this week—those who represent the wisdom, faith, and foundation of our families. We invite you to join us for this special celebration:
