Having the Mind of Christ

Dear HFCS Friends and Families,

As we approach the end of another busy week at Holy Family Catholic School, we’d like to share some reflections and updates with our school community.

Reflection on Priorities

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Today’s Gospel reminds us that our priorities may not always align with those of others, or even with what’s truly important in life. Just as Jesus valued the attitudes in our hearts over ritual cleanliness, we too should focus on cultivating love and compassion in our daily lives.

As we go about our busy schedules, let’s take a moment to reflect on our own priorities. Are we focusing on what truly matters? Are we teaching our children to value kindness and generosity above superficial concerns? Let’s strive to “put on the mind of Christ” and align our priorities with those that reflect love and service to others.

Gratitude and Upcoming Events

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Parents in Education (PIE) group for their tireless efforts in supporting our school. Their hard work, especially in organizing the annual chocolate sale, has been invaluable in enhancing our students’ educational experience.

As we look ahead to this weekend, we have some exciting sports events:

1. Girls Volleyball: Our team and coaches are gearing up for their final tournament. We’re incredibly proud of their dedication and teamwork throughout the season.

2. Cross Country: The final meet is this Friday. We’d like to recognize our coaches and team members for their perseverance and hard work this fall.

We encourage all families to come out and support our athletes this weekend. Your presence means a lot to our young sportspeople and helps foster a strong sense of community.

Thank you for your continued support of HFCS. Together, we can create an environment where our children thrive academically, physically, and spiritually.

Go Hawks!

Pax et bonum,
