Dear HFCS Families & Friends:
Today’s Gospel reading reminded me of Christ’s infinite capacity for love and attention. Like Saint Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:22-33), we sometimes hesitate to bring our seemingly small concerns to Jesus. Yet as Saint Augustine wrote, “God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” Whether it’s our school fundraiser or personal intentions, Jesus welcomes all our prayers with open arms.
Lord Jesus, source of all grace, we thank You for seeing into the depths of our hearts. Grant healing to our minds, bodies, and spirits, that we may better serve Your kingdom through our school community.
I’m deeply grateful for the vibrant celebration of Catholic Schools Week, made possible by our PIE volunteers, Student Council, students, families, and teachers. Your dedication exemplifies the spirit of Christian service that defines our community.
Special thanks to those who participated in our January 25th winter work party – your efforts transformed our campus. Additionally, the Middle School Dance on January 31st was a wonderful success thanks to our devoted volunteers. As Scripture tells us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23).
As we journey through this academic year and prepare for 2025/2026, please contact our office regarding student applications and registration.
Pax et bonum,
Sue Styren, M.Ed.
