A World Community of Prayer

Dear HFCS Families & Friends,

I hope this message finds you well as we continue to celebrate the Easter season. May the joy and hope of Christ’s Resurrection remain in your hearts throughout these blessed days.

A Time of Reflection and Prayer

Our hearts were filled with the joy of Easter this past weekend as we celebrated our Risen Lord. However, Monday morning brought the sorrowful news of Pope Francis’ passing. We join Catholics around the world in praying for the peaceful repose of his soul. During this time of transition for our Church, please also keep our Cardinals in your prayers as they gather to select Pope Francis’ successor. May the Holy Spirit guide them in this sacred responsibility.

Annual Gala Fundraiser – Friday, May 2nd

Our largest fundraiser of the year is quickly approaching! A limited number of tickets are still available for our Gala on Friday, May 2nd. If you haven’t yet purchased tickets but would like to attend, please reach out to Allie Linscott.

Additionally, we have numerous volunteer opportunities before, during, and after the event. This is an excellent way to fulfill your annual volunteer hour requirements while supporting our school community.

National Catholic Educators Conference (NCEA)

This week finds me in Orlando, Florida, meeting with our Superintendent and other Catholic school educators from across the nation. We’re discussing important topics including Faith Formation, Artificial Intelligence, community building, and addressing the unique financial challenges that Catholic schools face.

I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned with our Advisory Council next Tuesday and with our Faculty this Friday upon my return.

May God bless you abundantly during this holy Easter season. Let us continue to walk together in faith, hope, and love.

Pax et bonum,

Sue Styren, M.Ed.
