Dear Holy Family Catholic School Families and Friends,
As we continue our Lenten journey, I hope this prayerful season finds you in quiet contemplation — of our faith, our blessings, and the ways we are each called to serve those around us. Lent is a beautiful invitation not only to look inward, but to look outward with renewed compassion and generosity of spirit.
A friendly smile, a sincere “hello,” a moment of patience with a neighbor — these small acts of love can mean the world to someone who needs it. In the spirit of this holy season, may we each find ways, great and small, to bring Christ’s light to those around us.
Here’s hoping this Lent brings you and your family joy, peace, and renewed purpose in the boundless love of Christ.
What a wonderful evening our community shared last Saturday! A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our incredible Parents in Education (PIE) volunteer group, this event led by Kara Michaels, for orchestrating such a memorable Father-Daughter Dance. From the decorations to the music to every thoughtful detail in between, the evening surpassed all expectations and left fathers and daughters alike with smiles and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to every volunteer who gave of their time and talent to make it a night to remember — your generosity is a beautiful reflection of our school community.
And to our moms and sons — not to worry! PIE has something very special in store for you as well. Stay tuned and be sure to see the ad below for details on our upcoming Mother-Son Dance. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Northern Deanery Vocations Event — Tomorrow Night at HFCS!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4th, we have a unique and grace-filled opportunity right here at Holy Family Catholic School. Coordinated by Dianna Decker, we are honored to host the Northern Deanery Vocations Event in the HFCS Gym, with Fr. Nelson Cintra from the Boise Vocations Team leading the evening.
The event runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is open to any interested young men and an accompanying adult. The evening will include dodge ball and basketball, a shared meal, and a Q&A with Fr. Nelson — a wonderful and accessible way to explore one of the Church’s most important callings.
Please prayerfully consider spending the evening with these amazing men and learning more about the gift of the priestly vocation. RSVP information can be found in the ad below. We hope to see you there!
This week is absolutely packed, and we are so excited to share it all with you! Tonight, starting at 4:00 PM, we have a series of home games — please come out and cheer on our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams! They have been playing with tremendous heart and skill all season, and there is nothing quite like the energy of a crowd behind them. Let’s keep their spirits soaring!
And don’t miss HFCS Triple Play Night this Thursday, which promises to be a fantastic and fun-filled evening for our whole community. More details are in the bulletin — mark your calendars and plan to join us!
Just a reminder, Friday is a No School day, providing teachers with the time to process end of term grades and report cards. Please be on the lookout for an invitation to attend Parent Teacher Conferences in the coming weeks.
Pax et bonum,
Sue Styren, M.Ed.
