HFCS is proud to offer competitive basketball programs for both girls and boys during the winter months. Each program provides a 3rd/4th grade team, 5th/6th grade team, and a 7th/8th grade team. The younger grades participate in the Hayden Park and Recreation Competitive League while the 7th/8th grade teams participate in the Mountain Christian League.
The basketball season typically begins after Christmas break and runs through March. Practices are held two to four times a week after school. The girls’ team typically practices right after school with the boys’ practice to follow. The HFCS Homework Room offers a discount to student athletes who attend after school before practice.
The basketball program also offers a skills session in the fall for grades 1 through 5 for any student interested in learning more about the sport.
Sports Skills
Basketball skills is offered in the fall for younger students who would like to learn more about the sport of basketball.
Volleyball
Competitive volleyball is offered each fall for girls in 5th through 8th grade. Volleyball skills is open to boys and girls in grades 1 through 5.
