“God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength.” (CCC 1)
Dear HFCS Families and Friends,
Thank you to our 4th grade for creating our Ofrenda display to remember our family and friends that have departed this world. We join together in this season to pray for all souls.
Thank you also to our 2nd and 8th graders for the amazing Saints presentations that they have shared with us this week. It reminds us that God has created us all to be saints as we move forward in life. There’s a lovely artistic depiction of this at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. In the Saints niche to the left of the main altar is what appears to be an unfinished homage to our Saints … one singular niche is empty while all the others are filled with Saints. The empty niche is there to remind us that we all have the opportunity to be Saints – its the choices we make as we move through life that will determine if we are able to fulfill God’s plan for us.
Have a safe, happy, and prayerful week.
Pax et Bonum,
Sue Styren
